The recent takeover of social media site Twitter by Tesla founder and entrepreneur Elon Musk has not come without its drama. However, much more seems to be bubbling from under the surface no one saw coming. Since Elon Musk announced that anyone who would like to be verified for $8 a month with the blue check mark next to their name on Twitter, United States New York Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has become strangely upset.
Musk announced that the platform will remain free to use, but if anyone would like to be verified as real, then they would need to pay $8 a month for the blue check mark that indicates so. Soon afterwards, Ocasio-Cortez took to Twitter and Instagram to voice her displeasure. Her anger drove her to comment so much, The Machination Times believed there is more to the story so we reached out to our sources until we spoke to our covert insider at Area 51.
“Well, as you know, this area is essentially an underground city. It is self-sufficient with roads, sidewalks, water, power, stores, restaurants – only the best for the best. The reason AOC is so mad about this is she and Musk have been secretly meeting here for a couple of years on a lovers tryst. Juicy nuggets of gossip isn’t it? I know! Gets me thrilled too.”
We asked why he thinks she would be so upset.
“Well, me and the guys on my post have discussed it. We think it is because since she is a secret girlfriend and believes that everything should be given to her for free. The perfect storm for a socialist lover, but Musk isn’t playing that game.”
We reached out to Ocasio-Cortez’s office for comment. They replied that she was not in Washington at the moment but “wandering the desert trying to find herself.”
We can only assume that desert is in Nevada.
